Kathy Whitworth
Whitworth won 88 LPGA Tour events, more than any player on a major professional tour. Her first win took years of persistence; the next 87 secured a record that still stands.
Whitworth did not win immediately after joining the LPGA. Once she broke through in 1962, victories kept coming for more than two decades. Her 88 wins remain the largest total on any major professional tour.
Her record came from showing up, adapting and winning year after year. A single spectacular season would not have been enough to reach 88.
